Serena Williams
March 10th, 2009 filed in Tennis
Serena Williams is an American professional tennis player who is ranked World No. 1 by the Women’s Tennis Association, having now held that ranking on four different occasions. She is the current US Open and Australian Open singles champion and has won 20 Grand Slam titles: ten in singles, eight in women’s doubles, and two in mixed doubles. There is something else you may notice about Serena, she is huge! Is she Cheating, or Beating?
Recently our friends over at The World of Isaac pointed out just how large Serena has gotten in recent years:
I swear in college I lifted like five times a week and never looked like this. Sure, I may have mixed in a 12 beer night with some cocktails but that shouldn’t have hindered me that much. Right?
And I don’t care that she is tensing every muscle in her body. She looks like Sammy Sosa circa 1998 in this picture. Maybe they should start roid testing in women’s tennis. I’m guessing Serena and Amelie Mauresmo might show some statistical testosterone anomalies.

Serena Williams is CHEATing
Chester Cheater
A picture is worth a thousand words, and that picture screams CHEATER! I’m not going to say that Serena isn’t a good tennis player, because she is, and has been for a long time. But her career certainly slowed for awhile, and now has made a sudden resurgence. What is the difference? Only about 10 inches on those biceps. It may not necessarily be steroids, but she is on something. According to a recent Sports Illustrated article, the WADA and ITF have joined forces to create a new drug testing program for Tennis. Who spoke out against it? Serena Williams :
“I think it’s too much. It’s very invasive. … Basically, they show up at your house on any day. I jump from city to city all the time. First of all, I never tell people where I am because I like to do my own thing.”
You keep doing your “own thing” Serena, but don’t be surprised when it gets you suspended from Tennis.

Serena Williams is BEATing her competition
Billy Beater
Serena Williams has been one of the best women’s tennis players in the world for a period of 10 years. She has never failed a drug test, despite being tested for several years under existing drug testing policies. Just because a woman lifts some weights and gets large, it is ok to accuse her of cheating? Please provide some proof Chester before making your allegations, and bringing down yet another strong role model.
So what do you think? Does Serena Williams CHEAT, or BEAT?

wHAT WOULD THE REPLIES BE IF SERENA WERE WHITE? Amazing, even though Serena has taken drug test after drug test, the majority people,in their prejudices, still say she takes drugs. My goodness! Night is Day and Day is Night.

Nar, the steroids prescribed for asthma are NOT anabolic steroids, they are corticosteroids and do not affect muscle mass, in fact, they will cause fat accumulation.

The fact that Serena has passed multiple drug tests doesn’t mean anything. Cycling is a sport awash in performance enhancing technology, few riders you can actually name are clean and the athletes who fail tests are just the tip of the iceberg. Track and field was a joke in the 80s and 90s. I’ve heard insiders allege that Carl Lewis juiced every bit as much as Ben Johnson but the Olympic committee covered it up because Lewis had a clean image and generated wealth for the sport. If an athlete is vehemently opposed to testing on principle then that may indicate guilt but even if they vociferously champion mandatory random, ambush style, guerrilla testing that may only mean that they’ve been granted immunity from the powers that be and thus feel particularly emboldened to speak out. Nothing is exactly as it seems. If someone is using then players on the pro tennis circuit have a couple of options: they can blow the whistle but there’s the matter of having unequivocal proof, that’s hard to come by or they can start using in order to compete or they can lose matches, ranking points, endorsements, money, their career, dignity, all their hard work, etc… Which would you choose? Wake up. Most pro sports are fixed like a 60s TV quiz show.

I think it’s pretty obvious she’s been on something. Navratalova was too. As loudly as Rodick spoke out against Odesnik’s HGH debacle, I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s a user as well.

Tennisfan: You need to stop making up lies!! Serena has never evaded drug tests; furthermore, ALL TOURNAMENTS HAVE DRUG TESTS UPON COMPLETING MATCHES, ESPECIALLY GRANDSLAMS!! Testing is not an option nor is it something that a tennis player can evade. The WTA & ATF have the strictest drug policies!! Get your facts straight before you open your mouth! Chester: I have a 02 French Open picture of Serena and she’s the same size. Serena has always been buff.

Some people get muscular very easily and some don’t. Some people get fat very easily and some don’t. I grow very quickly when I lift weights. My brother who has the same mother and father does not grow easily and our other brother gets fat very easily. People need to stop vilifying people out of ignorance, jealousy and/or hatred.
Oh, and by the way steroids do not make you big. They allow tissue to heal faster than normal. If you are injured you heal faster. If you lift weights your muscles recover faster. I do not use steroids nor do I think they should be used for performance enhancement. If you know someone with asthma their inhaler is probably steroid based. If you have knee, hip, elbow or shoulder pain you will probably get a steroid shot from your doctor.

am watching the Medibank International tournament in Sydney (Feb 5). Dementevia just beat Williams 6-3, 6-2. Williams couldn’t hit a serve in and the unforced errors were huge. Not the same player. I guess since it’s not a major she doesn’t get juiced up…

of course she is! father took her out of school before jr. high. she needs to do whatever!
get into her head, see why she does.. and makes sense.
now think if your daughter was playing her.. would you still be ok with her “edge”?
follow the money…..

if she is not cheating, she should shut up 99% who believe she is and be agreeable to tests.. instead she skips tourns that have testing and angerily states she will quit abruptly if ever subjected to.
WTA and USTA go to lengths to hush.. nike must look forward to her retirement.. it’d be worse than tigergate!
